Autumn Skincare Favourites For Spot Prone Skin

As we enter any new season I like to change up my skincare products to match how my skin is feeling. So as its Autumn again and the weather has gotten a lot colder I've been using different products to help with dry and dull skin.

I have spot prone skin so I always have to use something targeted towards blemishes year round so that doesn't really change. But with the colder months I try to use more moisturiser and exfoliate more to get rid of all those dead and dry skin cells.

I'm pretty happy with my skincare routine at the moment so it's a good time to share it. I also use some some sort of oil too to moisturise and massage my skin a few times a week. Currently almond oil is my favourite.

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

This is a new product for me. I kept seeing so many people talking about this chemical exfoliater and I was scared in the beginning to try something so harsh but I decided to try it out to see if it helps with the dry skin on my nose and the scars left behind from spots. A lot of people warn that it can really sting your face but I didn't experience that and I have sensitive skin. My skin looked brighter and clearer after the first use and the blackheads on my nose definitely faded. I've been using it once a week and leaving it on for 8 minutes and it works wonders.

The Body Shop Tea Tree 3-in-1 Face Wash, Scrub and Mask

Ive been using this face wash since the beginning of the summer when my skin was breaking out badly. I bought a few of the products from the Tea Tree line and this is one of my favourites. I personally only use it as a face wash and I use it at least once a day. I always use it at night time to really deep clean my skin before bed. Its not too harsh for my sensitive skin and you only need about a pea size amount to wash your whole face. I make sure to massage it gently into my skin for at least 20 seconds to really work it into my skin and that makes a great difference.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Anti-imperfections daily solution

I LOVE this treatment! It's one of the best products I've ever tried and it's made such a difference in my skin. I use it twice a day after cleansing and before moisturising. If I skip using this for a few days I will start to breakout again so I make sure to use it consistently. But, I cannot find this product on The Body Shop website. I've searched and searched and I've messaged them on twitter asking if it's discontinued but I've had no answer. I'm praying it hasn't been discontinued because this product is amazing!

Lush Vanishing Cream

A few months ago I sent my mum into Lush to buy this moisturiser. She came home with it and asked if I realised how expensive it was. I did not. It's £21 for a tub and I had no idea it was so pricey. I only looked up the ingredients and reviews then sent mum to buy it for me. Thankfully, it was worth every penny. I've been using it morning and night for a couple of months now and I'm only just half way through the tub. A little bit goes a long way. It's a face moisturiser made from fair trade shea butter mixed with lavender, neroli and geranium essential oils to help balance the skin. It's extremely lightweight and its a perfect base for makeup. I love this product so much and I will definitely be buying it again once I finish this tub.

Those are some of my favourite skincare products to use right now.

Happy Halloween!

Ive been watching a lot of Netflix lately since Ive had this bad flare up and I thought it would be fun to share some of my favourite shows with you. So, if you're stuck on what to binge next I hope this helps you.

My 1 Year Vegan Anniversary

Today marks one entire year of me following a vegan lifestyle. I can't believe its been a whole year. Sometimes it feels like I've been vegan for years and years and it's something that comes naturally for me now and it's a massive part of who I am.

21 Day Meditation Challenge | My Thoughts

Last week I finished a 21 day meditation challenge. I journalled my experience and I thought it would be good to share.

My New Favourite Eyebrow Product

I have tried a lot of eyebrow products over the last few years. I've tried pencils, gels, pomade and felt tip liners and only a few have become my must have products. So far the best products I've tried are from Anastasia Beverly Hills. They recently came out with a gel version of their best selling brow pomade and I bought it straight away.

For everyday makeup, I like to just use a tinted brow gel because I don't need to fill my brows in too much since getting them microbladed last year. I like to add a bit of colour to balance out my eyebrows with the rest of my makeup.

This product is easy and quick which is everything I look for in makeup these days. Call me lazy but the less time I have to spend on my makeup the better!

I use the shade Taupe that's made for people with blonde hair that has more of a cool/Ash undertone to it. I bought the mini to try out first (which is a great hack for trying new makeup, just buy the travel size/mini first) which contains a good amount of product for only £9. I've been using it for weeks and weeks and only now it's starting to run out.

It comes with a tiny little spoolie brush that fits perfectly on your brows. It's a very pigmented pomade brow gel that adds texture, fullness and colour to your brows. It dries to a matte finish so you don't end up with glossy brows, and they actually look natural. It can be used alone or over a brow pencil, powder or pomade. Its long lasting and a little bit goes a long way.

I'll be buying the full size in the next few days because I love it so much. Its transformed my brows and I don't want to be without it. On no makeup days I just use some of this gel and some mascara and I'm out of the door.

This is hands down the best brow product I've ever tried. It's worth every penny and its my favourite product of 2019!
