My Autumn Reading List

I love reading all year round but theres something so lovely about curling up in a fluffy blanket with a good book in the autumn time with a nice cup of coffee thats so appealing to me. I love getting lost in a good book and I always have a little list of books I want to read in my notes app on my phone.

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
This book is such a classic and I cant believe Ive never read it before. I actually haven't read many of the "classics" which is pretty bad for a book lover like me so this book is one of the many I would like to read in my lifetime. Its a historical novel based in the 1920's and its set in the fictional town of West Egg and follows the glamorous and social life of Jay Gatsby.

How To Change The Way You Think by Amy Sharp
Self help books are such a big deal these days and I love reading them. This one is meant to transform and change the way you think about yourself, different life situations for the better. Its a fairly short read but Im looking forward to reading it.

Walking On Sunshine by Rachel Kelly
This is another self help book that offers different life tips- 52 to be precise. Its a diary written by Rachel Kelly who shares her strategies that have helped her stay calm and happy after overcoming depression. A friend of mine recommended this book to me because he knows how much I love self help books and Ive seen a few different people raving about it.

The Start Of Me And You by Emery Lord
This book is part of Zoellas Book Club 2017 and its about a girl moving on with her life after loosing her first boyfriend in a swimming accident and proves that its never too late for second chances. Its supposidely a great book for people (like me) who are massive fans of Rainbow Rowell, Jennifer Niven and John Green.

Small Great Things by Jodi Picolut
My auntie read this book over the summer and she loved it hence why I want to read it next. This sounds like an intense book so Im just going to share its description with you:
"When a newborn baby dies after a routine hospital procedure, there is no doubt about who will be held responsible: the nurse who had been banned from looking after him by his father. What the nurse, her lawyer and the father of the child cannot know is how this death will irrevocably change all of their lives, in ways both expected and not. Small Great Things is about prejudice and power; it is about that which divides and unites us. It is about opening your eyes."
