Soap & Glory Pore-Refining Face Mask Review

Maybe Ive been living under a rock but I had no idea Soap & Glory did sheet masks. Ive tried their face warming No Clogs Allowed face mask before and its actually one of my favourites. Ive only used 2 sheet masks in my life and one I absolutely hated and the other one, which was a Garnier one I loved. But unfortunately Garnier isnt cruelty-free BUT Soap & Glory is! I bought this about a month ago after I passed my driving test because I planned on having a pamper evening but I never ended up doing that so this mask has sat in my cupboard waiting to be used.

So, a little background on my skin. If you follow my blog then you will already know that I have combination/oily skin because I bitch about it enough! I also get a lot of hormonal breakouts and my skin has gone so sensitive.

What does it do?
This mask has Soap & Glorys infamous Blot-A-Lot technology designed to absorb excess oil so that perf for combo/oily skin. Its also a cooling and smoothing mask to trfine pores all while revitalising your skin. Sounds lovely doesnt it?

Whats in it?
Its a refreshing and cooling camomile and mint fragranced mask. It has white willowbark, lemon balm, tea tree, lavendar and eucalyptus.

First impressions
This is one heck of a messy sheet mask and it smells very strongly of tea tree. Usually sheet masks are really easy to use and mess free but the gel on this face mask is very gloopy and thick which made it difficult to unfold the mask. I stood in front of my mirror for a good 5 minutes trying to unfold the mask all while trying not to let the mask slip through my fingers and fall onto the floor. Once I finally got it unfolded and onto my face it was super cooling and refreshing. The first thought that came into my mind is how lovely this would feel in the summer time after spending a lot of time out in the sun. A great thing about this mask that I was really grateful of is it didn't slip and slide down my face because that would be really annoying. This mask left my skin feeling really soft and refreshed and it didn't irritate my sensitive skin! Yay!

How much is it?
I payed £4.00 for this face mask but Boots currently have a 3 for 2 offer on all Soap & Glory products and they also have another 3 different kinds of one use face masks.

Is it worth buying?
Yes. I would definitely buy it again and Im actually planning on buying another one for my next pamper evening. I loved how cooling it is and how soft it mad my skin look. This face mask would be brilliant for an affordable stocking filler for skincare junkies like moi this Christmas.

Have you tried this sheet mask before?

  1. Sounds a bit of a pain to get it out and on but I do love the sound of it! Don't think I'd pay £4 for it but would definitely try it with the 3 for 2 offer xx
