My 4 Favourite Moments Of 2017

I was really inspired to do this blog post after reading Hannah Gales favourite moments of 2017 blog post. She is probably my all time favourite bloggers and her year has definitely been a lot more exciting than mine but Ive still had some really great moments I want to share. 2017 has been a relatively good year for me, probably the best year Ive had in a long time actually so I am very grateful.

Like Hannah said in her post, its easy these days to forget about all of the great things that have happened to you because we are all so focused on the future and whats happening tomorrow, next week or next year. I really hope more bloggers do this post because its so fun and lovely to look back on all of your memories. Im definitely going to make this a yearly post.

Getting a puppy
I definitely didnt think this would happen any year let alone this year! If you know me then you will already know how obsessed I am with dogs! My friends make fun of me for it because Im that girl who gets excited when I spot a dog half a mile away. Yup I am that person. So back in August, we had little Bobi from our Grandparents. They had a litter of Welsh Collies over on their farm and we all fell in love with them and after a lot of convincing and nagging we convinced our parents it would be a great idea to add another dog to our family. I actually did an entire blog post (here) about Bobi back when we got him. We already have Tomi who is a 3 year old Cocker Spaniel and he needed a little friend to run round and play with because after he spend time with other dogs he would spend the next few days crying for them. Not gonna lie, its been hard work. Having two dogs feels like you have ten sometimes and I forgot how difficult house training a puppy is but he is now 6 months old and fully house trained and only chews pretty much everything and barks at nothing.

Passing my driving test
Ive put off driving for years but my goal for 2017 was to pass my test and get my full licence and I did it! When I turned 17 I had major anxiety so driving just wasnt an option for me and the longer time went on the harder it was for me to actually do it. But this past September I decided to throw myself into driving and I had a lesson once a week for 6 weeks and I passed my test with only 4 minors on November 1st. I still to this day cant believe Ive actually got my driving license, it feels so surreal because it was such a big deal and worry for me for over 4 years.

Meeting up with old school friends
If you would've asked me at the beginning of the year if I would end up seeing old friends from school I would've said no. I have some really crappy memories of secondary school and Ive done as much as I can to put it all behind me. But my main group of friends from school still keep in touch with old friends who were in our classes and I decided to put it all behind me and see them again. Its mad how much everyone has changed and grown up in the years since I was in school. I think I still had this fear in the back of my head that they would be the same now as they were in year 9 which is really silly because Im definitely not the same person now as I was at 14. It just feels so good to reach out to old friends from school and see how well they are doing now and how they have changed. I have a friend who I went to primary school with who has just bought her first home at 21 years old which is such an achievement! Not many people can say these days.

Being a bridesmaid
Ive been a bridesmaid twice before but this time was so much fun because I was old enough to remember it properly. My auntie, who is more like a sister got married in April of this year and my 2 sisters and I were some of the bridesmaids and my little brother was a paige boy. It was so much fun to go to the dress fittings and the big day was so beautiful. Its one of my favourite memories I have with my family and a day we all talk about to this day. It was also loads of fun to go away on her hen weekend to Chester (which was my first hen do) and the whole lead up to the day was just brilliant and I am so grateful I was one of my aunties bridesmaids.
